We import products here because they're cheaper. Cell phones and all electronics there are more expensive because they tax them so high.

You 45P gas, is sold in liters, not gallons. Takes about 4 liters to make a gallon, so you're at least at 180P per gallon. At 40P to the dollar, you're talking about $4.50 gallon, more than California which has about the highest gas tax in the country. My state is considered over the national average of gas prices right now and we're at $3.71 per gallon.

You could buy a Kia rather than a Mercedes here and get by cheaper to, but you'd still pay more for it in the Philippines.

Medical care is one of the things you can get cheaper there, but its partly because they only have a pay as you go system. Also it is not uncommon of expired or even faked drugs to be sold in the Philippines. The USA has much more regulation to prevent such things from happening, and mostly we have so many different ways to pay for health care, the providers spend a huge amount of time just trying to get paid.

And you're ignoring that 270,000 Filipinos are already in the USA illegally even though we make it hard for Filipinos to come to the USA. Remove the strict visa requirements, and we'd probably have more illegal Filipinos than we do Mexicans. Granted most Filipinos have no desire to live in the USA, but have you noticed what their number one source of income to the Philippines is? Its out of country workers. Filipinos leave daily for places that have jobs and work for a pittance because they can support their families back in the Philippines where there are very limited jobs for the average Filipino.

Does this make is a pain in the butt if we'd like to bring our spouse or fiancée here early or to visit? It sure does, but its the reality created by the economic disparity between our two countries. Even Canadians and Western Europeans have been known to be turned around at the border if they're already in the process of immigrating.

How the heck do you sneak into the US from the PI?????? What you swim?? Its Obious that the Immigration police.. is not doing there job.. when they cant keep sombody from all the way across the globe out of the country...

NO there busy doing other things like denying visa's to people who just want to be with there loved one.

They don't need to sneak in, they get a tourist visa and don't go back. They come on K-1, don't get married and leave. They come on a CR-1 and immediately leave their spouse but not the country. They get a work visa, it expires and they don't leave. Because so many Filipinos come to the USA and don't return when they're supposed to is exactly why your loved one can't get here easily. And USCIS doesn't just randomly deny family based visas. If the requirements are all met, they'll get the visa. Bringing someone into the USA to live because they're your spouse, fiancée or other family member is a privilege, not a right. Jump through the hoops, meet the requirements, and go through the waiting game and it will happen. People get denied because they failed to do something they should have, or did not meet the requirements.

A Filipino does not need to be rich to get a tourist visa. I know numerous people in the Philippines who have gotten tourist visas. My brother in law in fact has a visa to come here and I can tell you he is far from rich. In fact it wasn't long ago he was stuck in Manila with no money waiting to start working again. The boarding house he was staying at had two floors under water, and they were staying on the third floor due to a typhoon flooding an area near one of the rivers. We sent him money so he could go back home. That's hardly the life style of a rich person. But he works as a seaman, is married with a wife and two kids, plus owns a home in the Philippines. Income, assets, family ties are what gets a Filipino a visa to the USA, although being rich certainly wouldn't hurt.

A friend of my wife has a visa to visit the USA. She tried three times but kept getting denied because she listened to stupid stories on what would get her one and built a false front to try and get one. I kept telling her just be honest. Her husband was an officer on a cargo ship, and she could travel with him if she could get the tourist visa to the places his ship goes. When she followed that advice, she got the visa. She had no job, 4 kids, and owns a house with her husband. They are not rich at all, but are solidly middle class by Philippine standards.

Either of those two people could easily stay in the USA by going illegal and make a better income for themselves. A Filipino friend of my ex-wife did just that. His brother had a multiple entry visa to the USA, and he borrowed his brother's visa and passport to enter and stayed. I know he had been in the USA at least 10 years and had no intention of ever leaving, he had a much better life in the USA even if his family was solidly middle class there.

You're complaining for the sake of complaining. If it's too hard, then don't do it.

The doctors in the PI..

SHoot half the time i cant even see my main doctor on the same day im sick... I call and say im sick with the flu i need a doctors note for work.. they freaking tell me.. they have an opening next week!! WTFFF do i pay for benifits for then?? I have to get a note for today since i got sick today... not next week!!!

In the pi they see you the same day.

When you consider that 25% of the doctors ( that is not a made up number) in the United States are trained in other countries including the Philippines your question now changes my doctor here is from the Philippines the difference is over there I pay him $10 over here I pay him $150 is the care any better I really don't think so it cost me $$7500 over here to tell me I had indigestion even after insurance my share was $1500 and then they wanted me to come back for another appointment which I gladly missed so answer a different question do you want to pay $1000000 to drive a fararie or are you satisfied with 50000 to drive a mustang both are muscle cars you just pay more for the useless fancy trimmings but then that's my opinion :)
