Hi ,

I am an US Citizen and will be filing I-864 sometime in June and need clarification.

I got job on Jan 28 2013 and offer letter states I will be earning $95,000.

For the year 2012 i was jobless and total income earned is $0.

For the year 2011 I was earning and total income is $60,000.

For the year 2010 I was earning and total income is $60,000.

For the year 2009 I was earning and total income is $60,000.

my question is " Will I be eligible to sponsor or should I look for a co-sponsor? The reason is the latest Tax return statement shows that I have no income.

Please advise me.

Thanks in advance

My lawyer says that they refer to the recent Tax Return statement ....so if you can explain me how it is fine then i will explain the same to the lawyer

If you are filing it in June you will have verification from your current employer letter, and 6 months of payroll stubs.

so that means...if I get to file earlier...say like may 2013 then should I have to wait until I get all my paystubs

Your current payroll stubs are proof of income, so the more you have the more stable in your information supplied. What would be the difference in May versus June???
