Hi

any one know how more it can take to get the SSN . its been 4 weeks now and I already got my Green Card 10 Days ago . and is there is any way to make it faster ??? please

Call or go into the office.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

I am a Citizen of the United States of America. 04/16/13

Timeline

Go to the nearest ssn office and apply for new one.they will eventually scan your green card and check if any other office issued you a ssn card.if not they will register you and you will get it in 10 days.

Most of the time talking to them on the phone doesn't really help.

I called . they said they still wait for the DHS verification . the problem is i alreday recived my GC from them . so way the DHS late ?.

USCIS/DHS are incompetent. My wife got her Greencard in November. Went to change her name on her SSN in January. SS person went to change it and said USCIS/DHS has her name in their database as her unmarried name, and haven't updated it to her married name. The greencard is in her married name. So the SSN office had to send a form and whatever else telling USCIS/DHS to do their job and update the name in the database to what is on the greencard...the same greencard they issued.

In short, welcome to government agencies...where almost everyone is full blown incompetent.

when I applied. my brother was with me and he know about this so i was so accurate about the name to be match as its in the green card .My Visa its special immigration visa so supposly I get my immegrant status as green card permenant resident at the first day im in USA . and sure this what I had on my green card .
