can tell you that in my 34 years on this planet as a woman - i have been in plenty of situations where i felt creeped out and on guard by the presence of men who never justified my suspect reactions. i don't think any man knows what it is to be a woman and to be raised to always be on the lookout for possible danger. girls are taught to be proactive when it comes to sexual assault - cover up, never go alone, watch your drink etc etc. do you think about such things every time you walk across a parking lot? stop for a bite to eat late at night? travel alone?

If you're a woman, how did your wife immigrate here?

My wife has found a decent job in our home town. It was luck more than anything else. She was a data base operator in china. She applied to every temp agency around. She found work in a wokery at a supermarket. She is chinese working with chinese. That was a plus for her. After about a year a data entry job came up . I had to drag her to the employment agency. (kelly services)She did data entry for many years in china also. They set the interview up with her now employer. This was with a grain brokerage company. I live on a small farm and it did help when she admitted she had just helped me deliver a calf a few weeks before. She also was attending a college taking an accounting course. All of these things did make this puzzle fit in obtaining this job. We are very lucky she landed this job. She is almost at $14/hour. Good money for our area. She is working seven days a week, Works in the wokery on the weekends. Still goes to school. She never told her family she works in a wokery until a short time ago. You just have to keep going. I have a friend from South Africa. She said to obtain a degree in this country. Any degree from overseas is almost worthless. Unless it is a TOP university.

this isn't a stupid comment, it's the truth. if a person is overly paranoid, they're more apt to have little control over their trigger finger. it's not like the man was saying that properly trained women with guns will lose the ability to shoot properly if threatened with the prospect of rape. you're reaching..

At some point you have to look at what we "know" rather than a hunch you might just have.

i'm talking about college students.

i have no problem with women owning guns or using ccw permits. obviously women are just as capable as men to operate firearms.
