Oh I need to vent big time

I was approved Conditional Permant Resident back in Oct 2005 and still have not received my greencard or welcome letter

3 times I have called the customer service # to get an update on my card and 3 times I have been told the same thing, that it has been sent to MSC office and the card will be sent from there and to call and the beginning of the next month if I had still not received it, but each time I have been assured it has been approved

Well I call today as still no card and I get this very loud woman who takes all my information then tells me that according to what she sees on the computer I am still waiting AOS , I tell her that I have the stamp in my passport etc and have been told on previous occassions when I have call customer # that AOS has been approved. She informs me that is not what she sees on the computer, then start to tell me she cant access any other information as she was have computer technical problems, so I ask to speak to a supervisor, He gets on the phone asks the same questions as her, tell me that he does not see anything on the computer, then after I ask to be connected to an immigration officer , he tells me he is having computer problems and prompty hangs up on me without even a goodbye

I can deal with a fair about of problems and I understand that there are computer problems occasionally BUT I dont deal well with RUDE people, and what made it worse it I was nice to them NOW i wished I had not been SO NICE

After spending an hour on the phone just to be hung up on doesnt make me a HAPPY person right now LOL

Thanks for listening

Take care

Lynny

I would make an infopass appointment to find out what has happened to your card.....

The same thing happened to me and it turns out they claim my greencard has been lost in the mail..... I only found this out after making an infopass appointment...

I have had to pay for a replacement card and now have to wait up to another 3 months to get it....

Good Luck

Kezzie

That sucks, Lynny. I'm sorry to hear you've had to go through that trouble.

I'm not sure about advice on how to get your situation resolved, other than continue to hassle them and perhaps get someone of a higher power (congressperson etc) involved.

Best of luck for the future.

Wow, how frustrating for you! :(

I concur, get an infopass appointment and find out if they have your address written down incorrectly or whatnot. The USCIS line seems to be generally not a whole lot of use, and I imagine an officer will be able to deal with you better in person. Be armed with all the information you can get.

Keep applying pressure and good luck!

The best suggestion i can give you is to get in contact with your congressman. This is so ridiculous! I have been through the whole process when i was waiting for my RFE to be SENT TO ME about "wait one month and it will be sent to you, if not, give us a call back.." I had gone through that process for almost 1 yr until i said enough is enough! I got in touch with my congressman by letter and the very same day that they received it, they called me telling me EXACTLY what USCIS wanted in their RFE! How stupid that you have to go through higher authorities just for USCIS to do what they were supposed to do in the first place!

I'm with Nina 1 and contact your local Congressman... tell them your situation so they can start putting some 'heat' on the USCIS. This whole process is hard enough as it is along with being expensive. There is no room for error when you've done everything correctly.

Be Cool! First make the infopass appointment. If it doesn't work then get your congressman/woman involved. No need to get hostile - you don't have to get down to the other person's level. Good luck
