How many video chat logs to include? And how to include them?

I have a ton of video-chat logs, going back 18 months. What's the strategy for including them in the evidence pile? I'm thinking that a good example of one of the earliest chats would be good, plus a few other good ones over the time period we've been doing video chats. But what are others doing?

Another question: HOW do you include video chat logs? I mean, I can do screen shots of all of the pages of a single chat. But that's a pain. Is there a convenient way to print out a single chat? My wife and I have been using both Skype and MS Messenger.

Print out representative samples. Don't put them on a CD, DVD, or USB key because they won't be looked at. Your goal is to show a pattern, not write the great American romance.

I'm a dual US/Hungarian citizen (both by birth; Hungarian citizenship verification TBA), and my husband is a dual British/Irish citizen (by treaty) from Northern Ireland. We are atheists.

LATEST STEPS:

28 Jun 2013: POE Houston

08 Jul 2013: SSN received (at SSA office)

07 Aug 2013: Green Card received

27 Feb 2014: Whoa, life happened. Planning move "back home" together to Republic of Ireland by end of April.

29 Apr 2014: POE Dublin through Heathrow

15 May 2014: Received formal residency/work permission (GNIB card with Stamp 4, one year renewable) for the ROI

But HOW to print them out. Is there a convenient way?

I can certainly "paint" all of the text from one chat and copy/paste into a text editor for printing. But to me, it's too easy to create a fake chat using that approach, which might cause an Immigration Officer to question the validity of chats printed from a text editor. So screen-printing the actual Skype or Messenger window seems to me to be more legitimate and less likely to be questioned. But maybe there's a direct way to print from the chat tools; that's what I'm looking for.

When you say "pattern," what do you mean? What's a good, representative number of chats? And should they span the full time that the couple has been interacting?

Similar question for printing out emails.

I'm was going to do similar, but leaving enough of the side stuff so that the Immigration Officer can see where the the chat was coming from.

yes, especially the labels... like yahoo or skype... i'll just print those that show that we are exchanging messages... i'll ignore those with no replies...

The chat logs are the lowest priority. Don't focus on them. If your evidence is solid in other ways, just leave them out except for a few (I mean ten, not fifty) photos of the two of you together, with family, in the shared residence, etc.

I printed out a couple pages of samples of Skype chats we had every couple weeks, so there are maybe 20 pages in my chat logs. Personally I'm convinced my husband is correct when he says that chat logs are basically something they could use against you. What if they interviewed you and asked you about something in the logs that you no longer remember talking about?

"Pattern" means that you talked about living together, being in love, having a life together, consistently.

I'm having the same problems. I have like 17,000 messages between my hubby and I. I was putting them into MS Word, but now that seems like a bad idea...

I have read about people just putting when the chat ended and started each day.
