My wife is approximately going on her 19th week of pregnancy. The i-751 form has an area to describe "accommodations for individuals with disabilities and impairments." Since my wife will not be able to travel after she has reached her 32 week pregnancy, and not to mention, giving birth, has anyone added this within their i-751 as a disability or impairment? Please note, of course we will mention the pregnancy within the packet, but I'm specifically asking about as an impairment. Thanks.

Being pregnant is NOT a disability, but in some cases (like women with high risk pregnancies that require bed confinement) it could be an impairment, but not within the meaning of the question they're asking (which would be if someone has, say, dyslexia or something else). If you need to reschedule the interview, you reschedule. It's pretty much that simple.

What exactly do you want? She'll have her biometrics soon, she may not get interviewed and if she does it probably won't happen for 6+ months past the time of filing (it's a LONG wait at the moment). If she's close to giving birth then she would reschedule the interview till a time after the interview, but anyone can ask for that.

Thank goodness, this is not a high risk pregnancy! It makes sense that if the time conflicts for BIO or interview, then we can reschedule. Yes, and unfortunately, our son maybe in first grade by then. (Smile)

I don't know how far the OP is from their local office but some people are very far - up to a day's worth drive (or longer) away, and some doctors do not want their patients to travel more than an hour or two away in the last weeks of pregnancy. Again, that may not be the OP's situation but it is one possibility.

Either way, not a disability, just watch the mail closely and reschedule as soon as you know of a conflict (if there is one and if you even get an interview).
