Ok so i went on the department of state website to check my hubbys visa status and it says it was updated febuary 15th and issued how long will it take to get to the embassy or dhl for him to pick it up?he was approved January 31st its well over 2weeks

Ours says Issued and printed as well but I actually called the DOS in Washington DC on Friday February 15th and they said it has not been printed yet and to keep in contact with them so I am planning on calling them back tomorrow. So you might want to try calling them as well to verify that it has actually been printed.

I called this morning abd they said it was issued last friday so u should hear from the embassy soon

That's great news for you guys! I just called DOS again and they told me ours has not been printed yet I don't know what the deal is! Its been forever, they said not to worry that there is no problem and he will be coming just be patient, it's still being processed....I'm pretty sure we have been patient...this is beyond patient but whatever...

I just checked my hubby's own as well and it says "undergoing necessary administrative processing, and once approved it will be mailed within 2 business days..." is that normal after an approved interview. How long does this process takes? I was under the impression that would take up to 5 -7 days

(interview/approval was on 2/7). How much longer do we have to wait before his visa is delivered by DHL?

It is not abnormal, each case is different but it's hard to say...we had our approval on January 15, 2013 so the 5-7 days doesn't always apply....your best bet is to contact US Department of State in Washington DC, they have the most accurate information in regards to where your case is at in the process (I was told the visa status site is new and may not be accurate) although they will not be able to tell you specifics as to how long it will take or why your case is in AP, which is very frustrating (believe me I know) but at least you get to talk to a live person! Hang in there and know you aren't alone in this waiting game....
