My wife and I had a very pleasant AOS interview on 10/30/2006 and were told that we were approved pending my name check. The name check was not initiated by MSC so the officer said he was going to initiate it that day and told us to wait 60 days before making any further status inquiries. Then I got the following status update email from CRIS:

Great...I guess theres nothing to do but wait (sigh). Atleast they sent me an EAD to work and build a life until they find the time to look at my file again.

Thanks for the replies!

That's not so bad! Atleast you get to work. Unlike me, I opted not to apply for the EAD, thinking that my AOS process would be a speedy one but NOOOOO, my case is still pending.... It's been almost a month.. So, you're not alone in this.... Makes me think if I should've applied for EAD 4 months ago... HMMMM....... ;)

I had a real easy and short interview. The AO appologized for the Missouri service center not initiating the name check and said that he has to wait until the results of the name check come back before he can approve the petition.

What is your timeline? Have you got your EAD and travel document yet? Also are you keeping track of your "touches". It would be interesting to compare that information as very few people are getting the CRIS message that we got.

Thanks
