Waiting on Oath Ceremony

I went in for my interview on January 14th. Everything went well and they said they were recommending me for citizenship. on January 21st, my status was updated on the USCIS website and said I had been placed in a queue for the oath ceremony. Since then, I have not heard anything. Is it normal to wait this long? I tried calling the National Customer Service Center, but had little success. They said my receipt number was too short and I was not able to get through to a person.

My question is, is it still to early to freak out? I am getting a little impatient. I just want to be a citizen already. :)

if your mailing address is the same and website status does not say "oath ceremony" yet, then I think you are safe. It appears they have longer wait times now as there is someone who just had interview few weeks back too and got a date that is abt 6-8weeks away.

meanwhile if you still want to hear from NCSC staff personally then verify your receipt number and try them again.

Also CONGRATULATIONS on the interview.

GOD has been WONDERFUL!!!

The oath is on the same day for some, within 2-3 weeks for others, and after 2 or 3 months for "unlucky ones"...it depends on where you live, how many people take the oath there, in bigger cities its like once a month, in smaller every 2 or 3 months, some wait until they have at least a certain amount of people together for the oath, etc.....you do not have to worry, all you can do is wait....again....but hey, at least you past the interview and all that, and just have to wait, not to worry...
