Rome does not send out the NOA1, just the NOA2 (approval of i-130) by mail.

I had emailed the Embassy a couple weeks after sending the I-130, to confirm it was received, and they wrote back confirming not only the date of receipt but that it was already approved and forwarded to Naples. A week or so after that Naples emailed us with our case number.

I mailed the I-130 on the 29th of November and they received it on the 2nd of December (they confirmed the date as answer to my mail where I asked for info) but at now I haven't still heard from them about the final notice.

On the English US embassy website they post the application they are processing so you can estimate how long it is going to take. How come on the Italian website there are no info about the processing time.

I've seen timelines of people who applied in Italy and it seems to take something between 2 and 5 weeks. Should I just wait or ask for info ?!

Ours took approximately one month before we had the NOA2 hardcopy in the mail. Keep in mind that you have also had 5 holidays in that time and that the Italian post could also be backed up. Once the embassy in Rome approves, they send it to Naples and then Naples will send you an email with your case number. It is possible that you actually might receive that before the post.

I'm still waiting for the email from Naples. The applicator was approved by Rome on the 23rd of Jan

I was wondering when you guys said you heard from Naples after a week, it was a week from approval or from you received the noa2 at home

Plus on which email you received the packet ? Petitioner or beneficiary email and from where they got the email?

Thanks

We got an email from Naples a week after the NOA2 arrived at the house which was approximately 10 days after they actually approved it. I received the email (petitioner) but on our I-130 checklist page that was part of the packet sent in to Rome, it had both emails on top so I think they sent it to mine as it was the first one listed.
