The only angle I can see with this chain of thought is when someone request a same sex person to do an exam of some sort. I've had those and have been asked if I wanted a male to do it since it involed nudity. But there is a huge difference between wanting a woman or man to perform an examination because you feel more comfortable than asking someone to get someone of the same color.

I hear you, and at one time it would have been perfectly "understandable" to feel more comfy with a white barber or dentist.

It is now 2013, it's time for some of you folks to quite the gender bigotry.

Perhaps you would think it is 'comfy' that a man, not your husband, is sticking his hand up your v-j-j, poking around there, because that was just 'normal', but you might try looking at it from the perspective of a woman actually having to experience it. Not sure how to get the point across without being this explicit. It isn't gender bigotry because a woman doesn't want some other man doing that to her.

Not really, you're using two different things. I have never had a preference either way when it comes to color. When I go for a check up and there is nudity involved, I don't know how it is in the civilian world, but in the military we have the option of male or female docs. I go with the male since it's more comfortable to me and I'm married.

I think a patient has a right to be comfortable with the doctor who is doing the examining, and that is why we are so fortunate to have choices. People pick and choose their doctors all the time. No one can force you to pay for a procedure with someone you don't want to do the procedure. You are paying for their services, so if they want customer satisfaction, they don't force someone to buy their services.

We all have our prejudices. Unfortunately for this poor sap, he's just happened to be shown out in the open. He doesn't want a black Nurse, so freaking what? The President of the country is Black.

This is the issue with modern times. We've gotten so complacent that this is the sort of BS that makes the news. I think we need to go back to dodging Saber Tooth Tigers, and stuff.

PS: I got to go and wash my robe, we have a meeting tonight.
