The only angle I can see with this chain of thought is when someone request a same sex person to do an exam of some sort. I've had those and have been asked if I wanted a male to do it since it involed nudity. But there is a huge difference between wanting a woman or man to perform an examination because you feel more comfortable than asking someone to get someone of the same color.

You remind me when we pulled into Vietnam back in 2009. I really think there weren't any blacks in that country for a while. We were eating in a resturaunt, and some kids walked up to me and started rubbing my arm, like the color would just come off

it can be an innocent ignorance or spiteful ignorance. i finished reading what is the what a month or so ago and i remember valentino talking about the kids' amazement with white skin - since it was the first they'd seen. the awe didn't wear off quickly..
