It has finally occurred to me how this might have been well-handled. Agree to the idiot's demand and call in an off-duty white nurse to provide care. Give the black nurse the time off with pay. Bill the idiot for all the additional costs and send him a nice note on behalf of the black nurse thanking him for the unexpected paid vacation he paid for! In reality this would probably not have worked as it is more than a little likely, based on my experience, that this type of idiot is actually himself dependent on medicaid and other government programs for the indigent!

If it had been the white supremacist that was also the patient it would have been simple to just call in a white nurses aide and have her fumble around till he wised up.

As James pointed out earlier, the level of commitment is completely different. Look at the champions of times past, Jack Johnson, Hank Aaron, Carl Lewis, and countless others. Do you think they did well because they had better training facilitites? Or was it something deeper. Being a minority doesn't give you an edge as you would suggest. If anything they had to fight harder and longer than their white counterparts. I think that anyone can break a world record, if they have the drive and determination to get there, plus thar something special.

Seriously, it just isn't going to happen. He's perfectly happy in his little bubble and he will not tolerate you trying to bring any kind of reason or logic into it. In his mind, he has a response to everything. He doesn't care if he's the only one who thinks it's a valid response or not. Better to just ignore him because no amount of typing at him will accomplish anything.
