As the topic says, I'm moving. I will be out of my house by April 1st 2013, but I already know the address of the new location. I'm currently waiting for my NOA2. Who and how must I inform of my change in address ? Will it have any negative affects on my filing ? Did anyone here ever have to report a change in address in the middle of their K1 process ? Thank you

Moving will NOT have any negative impact on adjudication of your petition.

I see another member has provided you the link to effect/report your address change to USCIS.

Don't forget to put in a change of address with the post office (USPS) even though usps will not forward mails from uscis. Don't ask me why because I'm not sure why, and why that policy it is that way.

Also, if you haven't done so already, you can register and set-up case status updates on the uscis website. That way if your case get 'touched' or if any movement occurs you will know via text/email.

Boggy, are you saying that even if I update the USPS with my new address, they will not forward mail from the USCIS ? Will the USCIS send future notifications to my new address or old ? Either way shouldn't be a problem because I know the people moving in to my previous address. I have registered with the USCIS site, but haven't found it very helpful. They "touched" the case once one month after NOA1 (December) but it only recently updated to say so. I imagine I'll have my finance here in the US before they update that she can come :) What is the purpose of these "touches" anyway, is there an average number of touches that people get before they get NOA2 ?
