Cash in US bank.

An international student cannot use "future" income from working in the US because there is no certainty of a US job on campus.

It's good old fashion cash in the bank that proves a prospective international student can financially support himself.

I am from Jamaica and i do Not have a bank account in the U.S.I don't think it's even possible to obtain one unless you live in the U.S.How about a sponsor or U.S sponsor?

Cash in your local bank would be fine too, it can be transfered when you start college.

A sponsor might work, if they are US based and have good, solid income. On the other hand, if said sponsor is your boyfriend, that may count against you as they may think that the student visa is just a quick way for you to get to the USA and stay.

1.What if my sponsor is not my fiance and i apply to a college in his city and supposedly& stay at his home, would this too be a problem?

2.Is there any academic requirements while am in school?like (grades, withdrawal from classes, amount of hours i need to take?

3.Do i have to show ties to home country for student visa and what ties if so?

4.If it's not possible to attend a college in the U.S,Do you think i could find a college that offer online course to international students?

*** Topic split from general guide as OP has specific questions about their case ****

1. Supposedly? You know they will check on that, right?

2. Depends on the school. Usually you need to be "in good standing" ie pass all your courses with whatever hours/ attendance requirements they have. Remember you are supposed to be studying full time. What are you planning to study and where?

3. Yes, you need to show reasons that you will return.

4. Sure, but many of them aren't worth much.

To be very clear on 4. --- most online degrees are a waste of money. They won't help you, except to pile up student loan debt. Look up the name of any school you are considering in Google and see what pops up. "school-name scam" might work

You won't be issued a visa for online classes. Most schools are prohibited from allowing F-1 students to take a lot of online courses. You can take online courses from anywhere, you do not need to be in the US.

It sounds like you are moving to the US for your boyfriend and not for school. Most schools require you to be full time and in 'good standing'. That 'good standing' varies from school to school.

good luck

Suggests that if you aren't sure if you would be a good student in person, then you will most definitely not be a good student online. Try working through a free class, sure. But don't waste money thinking that an online class will take less time than a "real" class.

If you are just bored, go for a free class or take up a hobby.

To file for a K1 visa, you need to be free to marry, i.e. single. So get those divorce papers.
