Hi everyone. I have some questions regarding I-751 filling. My conditional GC will expire on may 28th 2013 and I know they talk about applying within 90 days.

Q1. How soon should I mail my packet? Do I need to send it like really close to feb 28th (90 days) or can I take a little more time?

Q2. Looking at other threads, it seems like they issue you biometrics appointment close to 1 month from the day they receive the packet. I have a conference to attend in the mid of April so in case if I miss my biometrics, can I reschedule it or just show up early? Will this have any major impact on my application?

Q3. I know what to send as evidence of bonafide marriage, do I need to include pics? I have joint bank account, credit cards, mortgage, baby who was born 6 months ago, insurance, my spouse and the baby are also my beneficiaries. Phone bill, car etc. do you guys think pics becomes important in this case? Also, do I need to send

all these docs for the past 2 years ( or copies of last 6-12 month will suffice)

Most Important question:

ICE had filed deportation because my student visa was expired for like 5 months and we were gathering docs to file for AOS. I was called to their office and they had put handcuffs on me. I was there for like 3 hours and in the end, they let me go not before putting me in removal conditions( before my visit to their office, I had already sent my AOS packet like 4 days prior). Anyhow, after the torturous time and wait, I was issued GC thru USCIS and they dropped the removal charges.

My question is, in the form, it ask for " have you ever been arrested ....." And I will put yes. I will write an explanation for it but SHOULD I also send the Removal documents with the application, even though the charges were dropped before I received my GC.

I understand these might be a lot of questions for you guys but please try to answer them as many as possible. Regarding the last question, can anybody relate to my story or if you know somebody who have through the same situation. It's a little tricky but if I had the finances, I would've hired a lawyer. Last experience was horrible with the lawyer.

Thanking in advance!

1. To be safe dispatch around 89 days prior to expiry of GC - that is on March 1, 2013. Don't under any circumstances send prior to 90 days of expiry of GC, as the application will be rejected. Since you have a conference, in mid-April, you should be fine with this date of sending out your application.

2. If you mail using USPS on March 1, 2013, there is always a possibility that the Bio-metric appointment may clash with your conference. I saw in some thread people going in for Bio-metric prior to the actual date of appointment without issues but it is no guarentee that it may be allowed in your case, you can always try it yourself. However if you want to be sure that you don't get a Bio-metric exam in mid-April, then your best option may be to file on April 1, 2013.

3. Sending a few pictures is good - specially if you made a trips on vacation - also one with you all...

4. I advise that you inform this arrests and provide details. You don't need a lawyer for this.

Thank you Navyk for your response. Filing my paperwork on April 1st..is it going to be too late? Also, I am not clear on one thing. Some people are talking about sending evidence for the whole 2 years (for example, joint car insurance, 24 copies - one of every month) Do you think its a little too much documentation to show? OR is it advisable to send like 6-8 copies per evidence( Car insurance, bank statments, etc )?

Please take a look at this thread. One of successful applicant sent just recent statements. I am personally planning to send one full bank statement at the start of the joint account and another latest full one, which should be good enough covering the full period (may be you can add one in between period, as joint checking accounts carry more wieght). Latest copy of the rest of the documents are suffcient - car insurance, medical benefits details, Utility bill.
