Congrats!!

I think that makes anyone in the past week who got approved or a RFE had some type of contact with a congressman or senator.

My Congresswoman did not say anything about USCIS agreeing to pull the file (like others with Congressional/Senatorial inquiries) - just that USCIS said my case was in the cue to be adjudicated within the next 2 weeks. At this point, I do not know if the Congressional inquiry was helpful, or if they are just starting to pick back up from transferring the DACAs to Texas....our NOA1 was July 17th which is before the posted processing state so I'd like to believe they are starting to move and ours was at the top of the pile.

Congratulations man. I just saw you got your NOA2. Bayareaguy is not far behind. :) Then I will feel like I am all alone waiting :( I still have a ways to go yet.

I finally heard from my congressman's rep today. He was actually very nice. He sent me the release, and I will sign and send it right away. I asked him if he has heard from others, and he said that there has been quite an increase in constituent complaints about the immigration process, particularly the CSC and their lack of timely processing. I don't know if this will do any good in my case...I'm an October filer. Maybe this increase in complaints will light a fire under someone.

Time will tell.

My congressman's office called me back today.

The summary of what happened: pleaded my case, and that holding on to the Dec 31 data of July 18 is lame. Since the goal is 5 months, and I am going beyond 7 months, this is not an expedited request, it is a request to inquire about my now late petition. I also stated that other congressman's offices are helping to get their constituents applications processed, including a few that are not as old as my case.

So, they will be sending me a release form (snail mail :clock: ), and I will definitely try and craft a good cover letter to state my case.

Hopefully this will get this moving.

But, regardless of the outcome, I am still pretty peeved that it has come to this. Why do we need to cry to our congressman to get things moving? I really hope CSC picks up again so it becomes a moot point. It is really poor management...if the goal is 5 months, and processing times are increasing well beyond the goal, you assign more staff to processing I-129F's, not less. It really isn't rocket science.

You are not alone. Who knows when CSC will pick our file.

most release forms are available on the Congressman's web portal.

Does your Congressman have one of those?

Mine did - I filled it out, printed it out, signed it, scanned it , and attached it and my letter of inquiry (in pdf format) and also faxed both things, all in same day. NEXT DAY I got a call from the Immigration Liason Staffer and we got the ball rolling.... It was about 2 weeks for the first response, but after that each 'new response' came in once a week.

I dunno, if'n you want speed, there's ways to manage it on yer own end, there. The release form should never be a 'lagged event', ever.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

No online form. They obviously want to control the amount of releases sent to them.

Well, to complete the loop on this thread, Mike Honda's office did absolutely nothing for me, except waste my time.

I'm also getting email spam from him, which at first pissed me off, but actually it's good, since it is an easy way to keep an eye on the enemy.

To all in Honda's district (17th), there is going to be a Democratic challenger for his seat. Honda's claim to be behind reuniting families is just empty rhetoric.
