Contacted my representative's office about late NOA2

So I contacted my congressman's office about My I-129F application. The person who answered the phone told me that they would email me a form to fill out so they could inquire the USCIS on my behalf.

But then the immigration liaison called me back a short while later and said they couldn't do anything for me until it passes 210 days (even though according to the website, CSC is processing at 5.5 months, as of Dec 31. I also like how the 5.5 bar in the graph is longer than the 7.9 bar for national average. Must be the government (AKA welfare for the middle class) math). I then asked why mine has not been processed yet, and she said because they are still working on July applicants. So that's like saying "they are late because they are late".

Of course, I know they are beyond just a little behind in their processing, and I felt that the liaison knew this as well, but wasn't telling me the full story.

So, I wrote the office my concerns about the pace of processing and the data backing up my claims, requesting something be done about it. :bonk:

I'm sure they'll get right on it

We were told to call and put a Service request in after 200 days. I never did and were approved at the 208 day mark. You will get there. Good luck

Look at the bright side: Seven months is the new normal, so you are still ahead of schedule.

Yeah, it's not quite too bad yet as an August filer, but it is the rate at which they have been processing them that concerns me, so I'm trying all I can do now.

I think all of you need to keep making noise and putting pressure on everyone. This whole process is unacceptable and it is only out of powerlessness that we put up with it. I am still waaaaayyyy too premature to pile on, but you could definitely lay the groundwork for when my time comes. IMHO family visas are where reform needs to start.

Anyone with an NOA1 date July or later should worry if the rate of NOA2's doesn't change. At least for CSC.

Update:

I received a response from USCIS about my service request!!!!!!!

The status of this service request is:

USCIS electronic records indicate that your application/petition was filed on 8/14/12 and is presently within current processing times.

We are at present processing cases of this type filed before 7/18/12.

The status of your case may be obtained online at https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/Dashboard.do.

So, the same ole line. My, there must be a lot of July 18 cases :dead:

Bunch of #$@^$# tools at USCIS. :ranting:

So those who haven't (or haven't been able) to fill out a service request, if your NOA1 is July 18 or later, it probably wont do you any good.

The other thing that I take away from this, is they can just stick with this July 18th date, and your case will never be outside of normal processing times.

&u@% them, and the horse they rode on :protest:

And the other thing...when you look at the few NOA2's that are trickling through, most are NOA1 after 7/18/12. So USCIS are #&&% despicable liars as well.

And yet there are still loads of unprocessed 07/2012 cases, according to Igor's List.
