Karaoke is a big thing here, too, but I refuse to do it. My husband will do it willingly (especially if he's been drinking) but I just get too embarrassed. I'm a wussy.

You have to sing Ana Gabriel.......and la cucaracha..........

KDH you're living in Canada?

I'm staying in canada.

I don't technically live here.

I just come and stay for a while and then go home to the US, then come back.

I work in the US.

I sorta figured you work in the US. That's why I was confused. Thought you crossed the border daily (like Tiff's friends do between Malaysia and singapore)

Ana Gabriel is a big deal, but most people consider "la cucaracha" to be a child's song, so I don't think that would happen. It's more like Ricardo Arjona and Juanes, who I didn't even know existed until I moved here. And then of course you always get the salsa and bachata which I just find obnoxious. They all sound the same!

US home got like... 8+ inches of snow yesterday.

We did not get ANY snow.

For once the storm doesn't bother us.

About time.

You know that most people in the US try to blame me saying 'why are you sending us all this bad weather'

I know it's just a joke, but I think it's the stupidest joke ever.

They all think that since we're north, it's colder up here and so when it's cold and snowy down there, it must have been here first.

Well, I got news for you all.

The weather travels UP.

And it's almost always warmer here.

SO SUCK ON THAT!

I sorta figured you work in the US. That's why I was confused. Thought you crossed the border daily (like Tiff's friends do between Malaysia and singapore)

No.

I go home this month.

I have been here since just before new years.

I typically stay around 3 months.

Yeah, that's actually really popular. Most of Daddy Yankee's songs are. Though most of them sound really similar. It's always about some girl he wants to get with and how wild she is, and the beat is always the same. Who knows what the attraction is there.

Oh I forgot about Shakira.......Love the body, but hate the brain..........so I'm boycotting her. She's too critical of the Arizona gov't

I'd be more impressed if she can dance like that

I do a mean shakira impression

I don't dance in front of anyone.

I can dance.

I'm confident of that.

But I do NOT dance in front of anyone.

I guess that's my crutch.

Just can't do it.

Nearly every latino on the face of the Earth is critical of the Arizona gov't. When they passed those laws, people down here went WILD. You'd have thought they were collecting the illegals to burn alive or something. I find it really obnoxious how protective people are of illegals.

BUT ANYWAY. Let's not make this a political discussion.
