It mystifies me: Why do people remain in dictatorial hellholes like NYC et al., huh man?

It's not all that bad here. People remain here for all kinds of reasons. For me, the main reason is elderly parents, my wife has all her friends here. I like Broadway, restaurants. My livelihood is here also, and I do OK. So here I stay for now.

I hate getting up early on a cold and dark winter day to go to work. At least it's not raining. But thats coming too.....

And it's dark when you get up. I always have to fumble around for everything......

So apparently I'm condescending.

I guess I have to start using words like 'sweetie' and 'honey' in posts so people don't find me so threatening.

Oh, honey, you haven't sounded condescending until you start using words like that. After all, sweetie, that's what most of us do in the South. Use those nice-nasty phrases until it turns your stomach, bless your heart. After all, sugah, you catch more flies with honey. And then you hope to sweet baby Jesus that one of those sh*t-treading f*ckers flies right into that whingey little b*tch's mouth.

Good point.

Maybe I have to overly use emoticons?

=D <33333333333

Or maybe the solution is ending posts like this

GOOD LUCK TO YOU ON YOUR JOURNEY ITS SO EXCITING!!!!!

That actually would have been much more obnoxious, but I got dinged for excessive emoticon usage. Who knew it even existed? Though I find it somewhat alarming that someone, somewhere, had to make a policy ABOUT excessive emoticon usage.

It's difficult to detect someone's tonality through printed words. Some misinterpret sincerity for condescendence. Texting often yield the same results.

People often fail to envision the different ways that a typed text is said....

This made me LOL.

If people think you have an attitude, they can just ignore your posts. Personally, I didn't see a problem with what you posted. :innocent:

I know my mother is being nice by being our joint sponsor and I so appreciate it, but I asked her to send the I-864 weeks ago and she just sends it Saturday morning by regular mail. I know I need her original signature, so I'm not sure whether to send back the Embassy paperwork and schedule the interview or just wait for the mail to come first. :bonk: I know it is a little more expensive, but sending it by something a little more official would have been helpful.

Also, she thinks taking shaky photos with her new ipad is akin to scanning. It isn't. I hope they accept the ipad photo of her passport bio page.

In fact, I prefer not to use any emoticons, and let people perceive whatever they want to perceive......

(what kinda tone did I just use in the above statement?)

This kind >=]

I personally feel that I'm extremely qualified to tell people what they should bring over the border to have the easiest time crossing.

I haven't met someone like me yet with the type of trouble we've been in and ####### we've been through.

I filed my husband's redress on 2/4.

Today is exactly one month.

I hope we hear from them soon =X

I should really get my act together and order my husband's long form BC.

We're almost at 4mo so I should be needing it soon.

But then I keep telling myself it will take like 2-4 weeks to get to NVC and I can get it then lmao.

Do it. :P

Actually as of 30 minutes ago we have everything except that stupid I-864 (I already have the tax transcripts).

Maybe we can politely suggest the embassy hold off an interview until after our medical.
