As I mentioned a new Filipino restaurant had its grand opening yesterday. The Filipino community came out heavily to support him in his new venture. The owner is an artist type, not a business man at all and its really showing. The grand opening was slated to run from 11:00 to 5:00. When we arrived at 1:00 they had just option left to eat. The owner and chef, was running around the restaurant talking with friends and customers. No one was busy making more food, in fact he had no more ingredients to make more food. #######, what type of business owner plans a grand opening and not only runs out of food, but has no way to make more food?

This same thing happened during his pre-grand opening a few weeks ago, you would think he would have learned his lesson on the trial run. This morning I look at the restaurant's FB page and there is not an apology for poor planning. Instead he's blaming his customers for showing up in such large numbers, I mean #######! Here's his solution, in the future in order to prevent this problem, all customers must make reservations a day ahead and pay for their food a day ahead! Now my wife and I already had decided not to go back to the place because its just so poorly run. You can't be confident they'll have food, or if they do if its something you like. I can't even guess how many people made the same decision yesterday. With this new policy I can imagine the numbers deciding they're not returning is going to get very high. Oh well, it will just be the latest in a long line of Filipino restaurants in this town that opens its doors only to close them 6 months later.

OK.....I'll tell you a story.......

once upon a time. I was camping with a bunch of friends. There was a Minnesotan among the group. He was taking a ####### in the woods, and yelled out to me "Hey Steve, you have any toilet paper?"

I said "Ah #######, I forgot. Use a dollar or something"

he comes outta the woods 2 minutes later, hands all covered in #######....

I said "what happened?"

He said...."You dum #######, not only am I covered in #######, but I have 4 quarters stuck up my a$$"

BTW Steve's lying, he wouldn't part with his quarters, said they were coffee money. It was 8 dimes and 4 nickles.

Please explain to me why at NVC stage isn't EVERY country EP (electronic Processing). I mean when they send our most delicate cases all over the place they are in Diplomatic pouches.

But yet they expect from us such proprietary documents as Birth Certificates, marriage Certificates, Financial information, SS#.

My husband attempted 3 times and it all failed the last time the mail was taken out and substituted with blank sheets of paper. Even FedEx said weird it left Nigeria weighing 2.1 lbs and it arrived in US weighing 3 oz.

It's 2013 US government get with the program. Goodness.

It is because they are way behind the times. That case status thing is a clear indication of that. There is no reason that every person shouldn't be able to see what an ISO sees - where the case is and what is going on with it.

NVC is the same.

We get to email in our DS-230 and bring in the confidential docs, so that is good. All this ####### was worth it just to skip the NVC.

Why do the Irish persist in believing that CORN is a valid pizza topping? I haven't eaten a decent pizza since the last time I was in SC. And they serve lasagne with a side of chips. I'm eating pasta, I don't need potatoes on top of it! We've got some fantastic ethnic foods here, but dernit, I just want some decent Italian. Or Mexican food. And they are nowhere to be seen. Damnation!

They serve hamburger helper here and call it lasagne and think it is *AMAZING*.

Also, a fine delicacy and to be served at important family functions is something that resembles canned dog food.

I can't wait for normal pizza again. *drools*

Do you mean brussels pate? I can't handle it now, but to my shame, craved it like mad when I was pregnant with Sophie.

My husband eats "pickle" which looks like something the feral cats leave in our back garden and smells worse.

I will, I admit, miss white and black pudding, unless I can source it somewhere once we get back home.
