ive been having issues with bandwidth usage since the beginning of the year [...]
You reinforce what my ex-girlfriend (Canadian) from the late '90s/early '00s said about Canada's Internet services. Apparently nothing has changed, no man. Canada is teetering on losing its first-world status, eh man.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

I agree. I never understand women who have had like 4 kids and still refuse to get a yearly exam. Or NEED to have some female gyno. I don't care. I lift up, scooch down, and think about something else for 5 mins. LOL Better safe than sorry.

My mom had cervical cancer in her early 40's and a partial hysterectomy. I've already had a few coloposcopies and a leep procedure done already. I'd rather just play it safe and get the yearly physical. Which I will do before moving to the USA. God only knows how long it will take to find a Dr. They all seem to be so specialized down there. My GP just did everything for me, and a gyno is only if you had a problem. And then I have to worry about co-pays etc... or something. Heck I don't know. Why is the US health care system so complicated?blink.gif

It is the same here in DK with the GPs, I had to explain to a doctor here that I didn't even have a GP in America because I fired her for being so incompetent. Personally, I don't see the point in one for most people. For a problem, I think it is best to see a specialist. I can't tell you how many times I misdiagnosed as a child by a pediatrician or as an adult by a GP. I'll never use one again.

As to preventative care, I couldn't agree more. My husband refuses to ever get a prostate exam which he will do regardless of his feelings on it. I'm a little bad in that I only go every 3 years or so to get a cervical swab. My grandmother died from colon cancer, so my mother goes every year for her check and when I get a little older, that will be me too.

I can't recommend enough people going and getting a full body check by the dermatologist for possible skin cancer. My dad waited too long and when they don't catch a mole or lesion in time, forget treating it....skin cancer can be very aggressive and invasive and metastasize all over the place.

3/2/18  E-filed N-400 under 5 year rule

3/26/18 Biometrics

7/2019-12/2019 (Yes, 16- 21 months) Estimated time to interview MSP office.

Thanks!

Have you done any yet or tried them out? The P exam was much tougher than I would have imagined it to be (I failed the first time).

Oops, theres been like 400 posts since this, but better late than never:

I have passed both P and FM. My degree is in Actuarial Science so I have an advantage, I just had to go over the material again and I did spend a considerable amount of time studying for each test (150 hours). Probably going to have to spend around 250 hours studying for MFE.. :crying: Well, at least I´ll have something to do after I finish my masters while I wait for the visa. From what you said in your previous posts I take it you probably won´t be taking any more actuarial tests.. but if you do I highly recommend you use the ASM study manual (If you didn´t use it for P).

I'm the beneficiary.

I was right in the middle of the mix in the 9-11 attacks. Subsequently I spent weeks in the rescue/ recovery effort. Now I'm a part of 2 studies. The Mt. Sinai Hospital WTC monitoring program, and the Columbia Presbyterian WTC Monitoring program.

So every few months, I get all these tests. So far, they've found in me....Thyroid nodules, Liver nodule, and slightly enlarged lungs. The doctors are not too concerned about it, so hopefully I'm OK.......

I've only heard "why is Minnesota better than my wife?"

Because year after year, Minnesota still sucks...........

(I'm up now and preparing to be a menace again)
