When we met, my husband had a size 28 waist. Since then he's fattened up a bit and doesn't look so... undernourished.

Rant: My MIL just barged into our bedroom, voice volume 12 on a scale of 10, shouting about if we'd fed the dog yet or not. It's nearly 10:30 PM here and hubby is already asleep since he has to get up early for work. Well, WAS asleep... <_< I don't understand how knocking, whispering, and general courtesy (especially at 10:30 PM on a Monday) are so difficult to comprehend. Anyway, if she'd just LOOKED in the dog's dish she'd have seen that he already has food... :bonk:

Feed the dogs that guinea pig you showed us

or the testicle soup lol

And yes...some people cannot take a joke! Me included apparently! I am laughing so hard right now.

Had a long day of film that breaks my heart....need someone to joke me out of it (L)

Wacko........

So as my day comes to a close, I want to reflect on.........

Many many things said.....but I can't remember too much of it. I can't remember what I had for breakfast..........(what was I talking about?)

Anyway, for those of you still wading your way through this labyrinth towards America, hang in there. Time goes by fast.

Like my Middle -Eastern friends always say.......Fast may you ride on the Camel of fate !

Kirk out.....

Dear USCIS,

Watching a film that made me cry for the first time in front of the the hubby. Maybe we could get on this.

I love a guy who looks like he could be on Criminal Minds as either an agent or a killer.

Yep, but it put such a damper on my day. #&$*#$&*(#&*.

Ok, what pisses me off is people who think it is barbaric to take your husband's last name. Really?

Tell me about it!! Greece passed some stupid law in the 1990s saying that last name cannot be changed. I have to send an application to that is the equivalent of a US Governor here in Greece, and if he deems my request valid, I will be allowed to change my last name. Though they rarely approve last name changes because of marriage. Its ridiculous!!!

Ikea did not have meatballs tonight, not in the restaurant and not in the food section. Nooooo!!!!! Supposedly it is because of the horse meat crisis.

I had a pastry for dinner instead when I really wanted meatballs.

Horsemeat was actually found in Ikea meatballs in the Czech Republic. Read it on BBC... trying to find link now... at least nothing has been said about Greece.. I like the Ikea meatballs too!

To appease rant #1.. here is my rant: Its 8:20am here and I have already been up 4hrs and working for the past 2 and a half. Seems today is the day I will be dealing with more than the ordinary share of clueless airline passengers.

For example:

Me: Mam.. your bag is overweight.. you must pay a heave fee of 49 euros. If you dont want to pay you must take the 9 kilos out.

Passenger: But its just oranges!! Its for my grandkids!

Me: Mam... you cant take fruit into the US. Its prohibited.

Passenger: No, I can! They are not store brought..they are from my orchid in my village! We have the best oranges! They dont have oranges like this in America!

Me: (muttering under my breath) I'm pretty sure they do... (speaking up again) you can try and sneak the oranges passed customs if you want, but to take them you must pay 49 euro.

Passenger: But i dont have any money!

Me: Then I guess the oranges stay here..

After 10mins of me repeating the same things over and over again, the 49 euro magically appeared in her purse. Oranges are on their way to US to get confiscated by customs!

In response to Rant #3: No word in Greek for wedgies.. there is a sentence

I am realizing that since this is the slow time of the year for my line of work it is starting to cost me a decent amount of money being home this much without having my wife here to supervise me. To alleviate said boredom I have begun taking the house apart in a very non-systematic way. Last week I pulled the underside of the porch apart and have yet to put it back together properly, since a storm was coming and it was flippin cold that day, I have half a window casing pulled apart in the office with a hole in the wall half way patched with the office itself half way primed. I have random base boards pulled or half way reinstalled/stripped/repainted. When I finished the door casing going from the living room to the dining room I found out the wall behind the tv was as straight as a boomerang. Since I was captain amazing I reinstalled the door casing level and perfect only to have a 3/4" gap behind the board due to a fore mentioned wall. The door from the kitchen to the laundry room is stripped down the bare wood.

That's all I can think of off the top of my head.

I need to go back to work or find a waiver for the interview that has something to do with the lack of my wife's supervision and what it is causing to our house!

That's another rant. In Ecuador, they eat guinea pigs (cuy). The takeout restaurants have menu-boards for pollo (chicken) and cuy. When I first saw this, I told Mrs. T-B.-to-be, "We don't eat our PETS!" She replied, matter-of-factly, that people in Ecu will even eat cats if that's all there is. I wonder why all the roosters are still alive, given that not all are appropriate for the cockfights.
