9$ - 10$ PER drink? JEEZ, I've been out of the States for too long. Granted, the last time I was there I couldn't legally drink, so things might not've changed. Still seems steep though.

Oh you guys know what I forgot to gripe about today? My wife and I went to a Malaysian restaurant in Flushing last night. Absolutely delicious.....but the curry chicken got me good today..........BTW, did you know some scientists are looking at the anti-cancer properties of curry?

Typically the sun is up from 6am to 6pm give or take 30-40 minutes every day.

Typically the sun is up from 6am to 6pm give or take 30-40 minutes every day.

If I remember correctly

Sun is usually up by 06:15 and is usually gone by 18:30. Ecuador's also in the same time zone as the east coast, which makes it easy when calling my family - no messy time conversions and whatnot. Actually, when I used to call my husband from the States, we got used to it being the same time, so when it changed to DST, he didn't believe me. He thinks it's really weird that we change our clocks back or forward an hour every couple months.

Ya, Argentina is an hour ahead of EST and with DST it puts me 2 hours behind which got tricky when we were both working. Wasn't very much fun

During the summer months the days get very long. Sun will be up close to 5am and won't set until 9pm-ish.

Some of the days get very very uncomfortable though hahahaha

TBH I loved Hawaii... from 20F to 35F with nice winds. You can be on the Big Island where you can live up the mtn and get a bit cooler if you want too.
