Oh I feel your pain about the shoe sizes. At 5' 10" I am a giant by Indian standards. Shoes? Forget about it. Ready-made ones, anyhow. I wear a women's size 11. This is hard to find in the U.S. so you can imagine finding it in India is next to impossible.

Fortunately, you can get almost everything custom-made in India. If you couldn't I wouldn't be able to wear any salwar kameez or saree petticoats. When my husband's family assists me in putting on a saree, the ladies have to stand on a chair!

Wow you are tall, and big footed.....you'll need those big feet when you trample thru the swamps studying aquatic life.....

Ok... My first rant on here.. but seriously in what world is it fair for me to start my shift as normal at 1:00pm and have my supervisor call to say he is running "alil late"... fast forward to 4:30pm.. and in he walks...first words out of his mouth.. did so and so call? (so and so being HIS supervisor.. that has weekends off!!)

Poor Niki lol.

It takes a long time to develop good personal work habits. I guess you're more of a baby sitter at this point. These kids are young yet...

Retrospect........when I was 16, I worked P/T at a potato chip factory.......

(I'll never eat another potato chip again)

Even the 20 year olds can't seem to figure it out. I have a 16 year old in my dept that works very hard. The kid is going somewhere. He's polite, does what he's told, always looks for the next thing to do and is self motivated. I told him to become a doctor or something similar. He wants to be an accountant. He's even a cute little thing. If I had a son, I'd want him to be just like him. The other 16 year old is more blonde than I can mention. He can't retain anything for longer than 5 mins I swear. wacko.gifHe's handy, if I babysit him, but I HATE babysitting people. I don't mind giving them jobs, then leaving them to do said jobs, but I hate sitting there, wasting time and money to make sure they remember they need to do the job. headbonk.gif Nice kid, just not the brightest crayon in the box.

KDH, the schedule only shows THAT day, so they're staring at the day's schedule. LIke when they get their next break. Dude you work 4 hours, you get one 15 min break, and the time in permanent marker on the schedule hasn't changed since you got here. Just sayin'. Go do something! It's a retail store. The day there isn't something to do in a retail store is the day after the doors shut forever.

Oh my ex took our daughter to hooters for lunch. /facepalm He said it was the only restaurant within walking distance. Apparently they have a kids menu, she coloured (she normally is "too old" for that) and they put it on the wall and gave her a balloon. I asked her 3 times if she was sure of the restaurant name. LOL

quite true for me also. that's the way our system is designed...

but there's another side. I see it daily, over here, one can be lazy, useless, jobless, and homeless, and still weight 300 lbs :)

(I can't find a political correct picture to post)

So my friend Mary is prego is ready to pop.......she's about 8 months and 28 days pregnant....

I text her just now and said 3 words... "How you doin?"

This is what I get back.....(not one text, but a series of machine gun texts about 4 seconds apart)

1. I'm OK

2. Baby coming soon

3. Doctor says 2 days

4 Doctor says they're gonna induce labor if baby don't come by next week

5. Is Beth (my daughter) out playing? (it's like 9 below in NY right now).

6. 40 weeks tomorrow...

7. see what happens.

Why can't she %&$#@ gather all her thoughts and send me 1 text back??

Mary is now in the hosp about to give birth. She manages to take time out to text me about it, and give me the play by play.....Ya think she could concentrate on having the baby? ya think she has an OCD on texting?

 My sisters do that! Text about EVERYTHING I mean. Or they reply with stupid things like "ha" or "lol". Drives me crazy.

I was cleaning my bedroom earlier today, and after I was DONE my chihuahua (aka my cat) jump up on the coffee table and pushed the open bottle of floor cleaner over, and it landed all over the table/floor/shoes next to the table. <_<
