Hubs and I talked. We're better now. I know how he feels and why he feels a certain way. I know how I can help. I know that it doesn't limit time and space with my daughter, just with her father. Which is fine. I don't have a problem with that at all.

RANT:

having to work 2 Saturday nights in a row. I normally get every other weekend off. My shifts are long and we aren't really paid for the whole thing as management because it's a salaried position. But because another manager is taking a few weeks off, suddenly I get stuck (why me?) on 12.-9 on the weekend I normally have with my daughter. RAWR. Fortunately I'll still get to have her sleep over 3 times that week and I get to pick her up from school TWICE, but I will miss my Saturday day and Sunday morning with her.

2 foot long witches broom.
As probably mentioned before here (too lazy to look, zzz man), native Ecuadorians use a rag-on-a-stick, sigh man.
I miss that bent over wiggle, si man.
Remove her Swiffer privileges, si man.
I am in the north and it is 22 and has been snowing since last nite.
Snow is just "fat water," see man. Misery loves company -- nighttime temperatures here are predicted to be around 40 F., in our 7-day forecast. Edited by TBoneTX

Each day take to time to say how much you appreciate and love your partner to each other. Make it a ritual you follow daily. [...]
Beautiful sentiments and fine idea, si man. The best "reconciliation" in our marriage comes whenever Mrs. T-B. talks to any of her girlfriends or relatives who are married to a native Ecuadorian guy. She always gushes with appreciation afterwards; I always ask, "Have you been talking to one of your amigas again, Carino?" and she says "Si, Carino -- how did you know?" and I give her one of her own lines: "I know you since I met you, Carino."

Or all the newbie filers who make threads every other day saying "MY CASE DOESN'T SHOW UP ONLINE!!! WHAT'S WRONG?!?!" despite the fact that that question gets answer daily. The root of these problems would be that nobody knows how to use the damn search tool. headbonk.gif
Si, man (sigh, man). I'm enraged by the knee-jerk "You do not need a lawyer!" reply to the incessant number of non-search-toolers who ask if they need a lawyer (= another question asked almost daily). Unless a respondent knows the questioner's exact situation and every detail thereof, the "you do not need a lawyer" reply is potentially the most irresponsible statement that could ever be made on here. My husband doesn't clean bathrooms and I do mean ever, even when living alone.
In my first apartment here, I once decided to hire a cleaning-crew instead of doing it myself. Three Mexicans came over -- one guy (the only English-speaker) & two chicas. One chica attacked the kitchen. The other chica went into the (very small) bathroom, came out jabbering excitedly in Spanish, and the guy went in with her. After 45 minutes, they came out, both sweating profusely. The guy glared at me and said, "You should NEVER let it get that bad again!" Hee hee, man.

He is handy and did attend school for carpentry before doing his current career where he does a little of everything in apartments and the grounds, so at least I don't have to do that any more..
Mrs. T-B. is quite handy and has built shelves, assembled furniture et al. from kits, etc. Once, I came home and found that she had pulled a toilet and replaced the wax ring beneath. The only help that she needed was in lifting the toilet to reposition it over the bolts. She ruined our best bathmat in the process; when I mentioned this, she flashed her innocent big brown puppy-dog eyes at me and said, "It was an accident."

I guess I'm lucky because my hubby is relatively clean. The only thing he does that drives me nuts is leaves his clothes all over the place, Instead of putting them in the hamper with the rest of the dirty stuff, he makes a pile on the floor right NEXT to the hamper. blink.gif And that is an achievement all in its own. It took me years (seriously!) to get him to even make one pile. He used to just toss them wherever he pleased until I made it clear that that was NOT going to happen. In most other aspects, though, he's quite tidy. He cleans the bathroom and sweeps and mops. If I ask him to, he'll help me with the laundry, but I usually don't mind doing that so much. Plus he's a great cook, and he cleans the dishes as he goes. No complaints from me there! blush.gif

RANT: My bottom two wisdom teeth are coming in, and on the right one I have an abscess that leaks disgusting fluid. wacko.gif It doesn't hurt or anything - it's really just gross - but two days ago my jaw started to hurt and now I'm worried I have an infection. I started taking antibiotics last night so hopefully it'll go away. I'm afraid it's going to get really bad and they'll have to amputate my jaw or something horrifying. blink.gif

Mine just needs a lady to keep him in line. I thought I was being a nag, but he actually likes being told to clean up after himself.

I don't know how dental care is there, but that sounds like something that you should take care of yesterday. It is a quick surgery to have them taken out and is probably way cheaper there then it will be in America.

I WANT to get it taken care of, but dental here is ####### and I'm afraid they're going to mutilate my mouth. I might just have to suck it up and get it checked out, but I'd really rather wait until we get home to have a reliable doctor fix it. Errgghh. headbonk.gif
