I hate know it all's. Ugh. Everyone has stuff they can learn, even within subjects they know a lot about. And there's always a new way to do something.

Rant:

If I call the GD NVC and wait for 25 GD minutes on hold, wait another 10 while being transferred to a supervisor, may I PLEASE get someone who speaks English well enough so that it doesn't take me a full minute to translate the garbled mess that comes out of their mouth?! It took 4 attempts to understand the first question she asked me. And while I've got you, Judy, please explain to me how YOUR GD ####*P IS MY FAULT????? You can't effin READ, so my package has to be sent to a specialist, who is going to take 3 weeks to review my file? No, ma'am. That isht will be done by Monday, or I swear, things are gonna get ugly. Eff. This.

And if the scummy little b*st*rd who lives down the street chucks one more effin snowball at my window, it's going to take a surgeon to remove my shoe from his *ss.

   I think there should be a fluency test for people at USCIS and NVC. I mean, I'm married to someone whose first language is not English and he speaks better English than the ISOs I've talked to.

Hopefully it is over for you soon. Do you wait to book your medical until you get an interview date in Ireland?

I may be taking you up on this offer, thanks.

There is nothing more pathetic than listening to some kid who thinks he's Bobby Bad*ss hollering at you to "kiss me *rse!" in a voice that compares better to Minnie than it does to Mickey. Aww, sweetie, I'd gladly kick you right in the b*lls, if I thought you actually had any. And hey, thanks for waking up my 13 month old, while you're at it. I can't wait to get out of this effin' country some days.

We don't have to wait, but my husband has decided to go in after we get the interview letter. TBH, I'm not all that stoked at shelling out 395 Euro any sooner than we have to, either.

My husband can conversationally speak in 5 languages. He can read 2 more. I expect to hear French in France, Spanish in Spain, Italian in Italy. Why do I not get English in America?

It is a shame when people speaking on the phone don't need to be able to speak English in America. I run into this a drive thru's to. The Arby's I go to recently put a person on the drive thru with a speech impediment. I'm not sure if that's better or worse than someone who barely can speak English. :help:

In Canada i'm like dude... speak english or french.. we have two official languages. While I like multiculturalism, i get annoyed when I walk into a store and all the employees are standing there talking to each other in another language and I can't understand a word they're saying. I think it's rude. It's not like they're visitors. They're freaking WORKING here... How to feel like an outsider in your own country.

Want to wear 3 different clashing plaids and then some strips and clashing pink sparkly shoes? Great! Works as clothing, right?
I bought 25-month-old Mini-Bone a shirt that says "If I Don't Match, It's Because Daddy Dressed Me," si man.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

Yeah, the weird thing was, I knew I was crazy. I didn't want to be, but I simply could not help myself. I'd even apologize in the middle of my hysterical sobbing. And then be on the verge of homicidal mania 10 minutes later. I think it's probably the closest I'll ever be to multiple personalities. And The Hubs (who occasionally is, for lack of a better word, an IDIOT) would try to wind me up because he thought it was funny. I'm surprised he survived until delivery. Hopefully the second time around would go smoother. At least I'd have an idea of what was coming.
Pregnancy is a mental illness, sigh man. Mrs. T-B. only occasionally, and dimly, realized that she was psycho.

One instance of what I faced was this: We were lying in bed at 11:40p. Mrs. T-B. turned to me with a snarl and said, "I want mangoes! Very hard, and very green!" Fortunately, I was able to beat it to the supermarket (before it closed at midnight) and locate some mangoes, si man. Presumably, they were of adequate turgidity and greenness, whew man, because I am here to tell of it, see man.
