Asia, this is a fact moving thread. If you go back about 30 pages, you'll find the whole story. The short version is. They were given a luxurious home, and yet still feels the need to renovate it, And they feel that they should borrow from my wife (Borrow means Give me). And my retarded wife said OK.

Oh nice to meet you Joanna.

These are my friends nola, KDH, the professor, and the rest of them.....They're over there----->

I've read the whole story.

Been lurking to into this thread since it was started ;)

I feel for your wife.

And I still don't get how people can ask for that amount of money, when clearly they have it.

Maybe it has something with the jealousy, you wrote like 5 pages ago...

Nice to meet you all :)

Let me embrace all your rants ;)

Y u no buy him own computer?

Hmmmmm?

I did.

I bought him a laptop with our wedding money.

Yes, I bought him the laptop with our money.

No one even think of correcting me.

Anyways, the POS broke after just under a year and the receipt WAS GONE AMG!

So when tax return came 'round last year, he opted out of a new computer and into another ps3

Stipulation this time around was that he was NOT allowed to sell the PS3 w/o my permission.

He sold the last one while I was out of town for a FRICKING TRANSFORMER!

Someone once got mad at me because I called myself american.

She went off on my saying that everyone from north and south america are american.

I told her the correct way to say that would be 'north american' or 'south american'

Which most people from south america do properly 'south american'

I asked her if she preferred I called myself united statesian and she seriously said YES.

WHAT?!

I have to tell you something - I got into a fight with my SIL about this. Holland is only PART of the Netherlands (Nederlandene). When you just say Holland, you are missing Friesland where my grandmother was from. :ranting: Nobody here seems to have ever even heard "Nederlandene", so I say to her in Danish, it isn't Holland that we were visiting, but Nederlandene. She is telling me that no such word exists in Danish and my husband has said it to me before. :ranting: :ranting: :ranting: I even saw it on the Danish post office website as the official country name - #&%#*(&%*Q#& stupid self-righteous know nothing Danes.

I get this angry rant a lot down here. People ask me where I'm from, I say "I'm American" and they go off about how presumptions Americans are for calling themselves Americans since they, too, are "Americans", and that I should be more specific, blah blah blah. headbonk.gif As far as I'm concerned, that logic can f$%& off.

I don't think it's presumptuous at all.

It's the united states of AMERICA

It's not like it's just the UNITED STATES and I've added the america myself.

The america is IN the country name

And I am NOT any gung-ho american enthusiast.

I just think calling myself united statesian is RIDICULOUS

United States of American? lmao

Typically, in canada, I tell people i'm 'from the states'
