Pretty intelligent comments--and very true. Since at one time in our nation's history we almost contemplated making the Phillipines another US State--which you do not see with other countries like Japan, Korea, etc--where we also have a strong US presence--but as conquering occupying armies--where as in Phillipines it was a little different and the common language which does not exist in Japan and Korea.

I have never "dated" a filipina--but I did have "webPals" from there and the common language was a big plus. That's the reason I learned Spanish before I went cyper-dating Latinas--so I would not have a language barrier.
