Questions: Form i-134, Affidavit of Support

On Q10 of the form it asks for the date you submitted a visa petition. Is this just the date you posted the i-129f?

On Q11 it asks for you to state whether you intend or do not intend to make specific contributions.

I have some savings and income from a job (and my fiancé also has savings) so I was wondering whether I should put I intend to support him using my savings and salary until he finds a job or should I just put I do not intend since he has his own savings? Incidentally does anybody know whether the Non-Us Citizen is allowed to show he can support himself with his own savings until he is allowed to work or not?

Also, in section 3 it asks for the “relationship to sponsor” which I have obviously put down as Fiancée as they have on the visajourney example. However, I was just wondering what to put in the “relationship to sponsor section” if it is the form for a joint sponsor. Is simply putting “Friend” ok?

Question 10 is the date you submitted the I-129f.

Question 11 you can ignore and just right N/A K-1 VISA PROCESS (this question doesnt apply to K-1 visas)

Relationship to joint sponsor is just that...if its just friend, write friend.

It wont be in the instructions. The I-134 is used for many visa cases in which that question applies. It does not apply to K-1 visas. Question 10 should be your NOA1 date.

If it makes you feel more comfortable, you can check the 'Intend' box and then put 'K1 VISA PROCESS FOR PERMANENT RESIDENCE' on the line.
