i would like to ask if anyone of you had tried this passport renewal in Philippines for married women to foreign nationals. They need a CFO, in my case I had my passport amended in DUbai when we reported our marriage in Philippine COnsulate. It was just a stamp saying that i am married to (name of my husband) then shows my name with my husbands last name.

do i still need to attend CFO and have that certificate to renew my passport?

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.

When i renewed my passport and at the same time change it to my married name, i attended the CFO seminar. I am not certain with your case but you can give it a try so you will know. And besides, that certificate from CFO will be useful on your departure for the sticker.

From my understanding, the CFO certificate does not expire. You will need the certificate when you renew the passport as proof of attendance.

Also, if you lose the certificate, you must pay 800 php replacement fee. Funny as the seminar fee to get the certificate was only 400 php. :)

Yes you will need it. Go to the DFA website for a list of things needed to renew a passport if your married to a foreigner
