I just got yellow letter in the mail. I applied for citizenship in december 2012.

They're asking me if I applying based on marriage to provide marriage certificate, divorce decree, proof that my spouse is an USC. i already send them all this documents.

However i got married again USC after applying. Do they ask me because they find out or there a problem? I was planning to bring marriage certificate to interview anyway. dont know what to think. please advise.

i am divorce but qualify under 3 years rule:). But Thanks anyway.

I hope getting married during naturalization would't delay my case

That requires some explanation. You have to be married to and living with a USC, and married to that same USC for at least three years, before you can apply under the three year rule.

This is confusing, YOU ARE NOT MARRIED TO THE SAME PERSON THAT SPONSORED YOU AND BROUGHT YOU HERE?

And you divorced that person and married somebody else?

If this is the case, you are not eligible to apply for the three year marriage privilege, you have to be married to the same person that sponsored and brought you here.

Now if you are referring to a previous marriage, that is an entirely different story, then they want proof of the previous marriage and proof that previous marriage was dissolved. Seems crazy to me for US citizenship, because we already went through all that stuff for the AOS, and then again for the ROC stages. And they wanted the same proof from me, the sponsoring US citizen, also previously married, then proof again I was a US citizen, then all the same proof again we were living together with all those legal documents.

When my wife got there said our file was already 3 1/2: high, then she had to bring all of the original documentation to proof our copies were accurate. Could only ask, how in the hell do they think my wife received that conditional and ten year card in the first place? Shouldn't that be proof enough? Apparently NOT!

When outside, a nice looking young girl came up to me and started talking. She worked in the filing department and was telling me how tired she was. For an upcoming oath ceremony, she had to dig up 3,000 of these heavy files so they could print out the certificates. Certainly doesn't sound like a very efficiently ran organization to me. Can only wonder where they store these files, but would only be the fraction of the size if they didn't have multiple copies of the same exact stuff, over and over again.

That reminds me, when I first started this immigration stuff, my attorney recommended very strongly that I should make two identical copies of all of our applications. USCIS is noted for losing stuff, and in case they do, would have that spare copy. Should get rid of all that stuff, maybe tomorrow.

I also have the complete immigration file for my grandfather when he first came here, exactly one single sided page, things really have become complicated since then.

Not about to argue this issue, but it sure does make a difference. USCIS will also want to know why you divorced and remarried. In particular if that first marriage is the reason why you are here.
