NSO Marriage Certificate

Greetings, I am located in Cebu City. Can anyone tell me if they have filed the I-130 with the original marriage certificate from the court house or church successfully? I am being told by the court house that the time frame from marriage to receiving the NSO marriage certificate could be up to two months.

Can I file the I-130 with the marriage certificate from the court house and wait for the NSO copy prior to scheduling the interview? Does anyone have personal experience either positive or negative on this issue.

Does anyone know from experience the time frame from wedding to receipt of NSO certificate in Cebu City.

You can file with a copy of the marriage certificate. We file ours that way in Dec. and had no problems being approved. You can ask at the civil registers office for a" letter to expedite" , I think ours cost 150 pesos but we had the NSO copy in 3 weeks. You have to have it by your interview time. Hope this helps
