It does explain why visitor visa's can be tricky to get for some.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

1. Yes you can

2. Not sure about the fee. The appt is made by phone in Romanian and he needs the proof of payment with the ID number issued by Banca Transilvania.

3.they won't look at it

4. Have him take the birth certificates of the kids at the interview. And a picture. That counts more than money, there is a window for Romanian speaking only so fill the form in Romanian. ( If I remember corectly there is a form in Romanian you can fill but I am not 100% sure )

Good luck . It is a gamble really

PS Have him say he will be there only for 2 weeks ( He doesn't want to stay away from the kids or the business too long etc ) 3 months will raise suspicion. If he gets a visa it will be for 10 years anyway so he can stay up to 6 months a year in the US

And he should have some cash in his own account. At least $ 1500

Also all the info you need is listed on the embassy site Bucharest so check there best

The lie you suggest will result in a denial. The term of the stay is set at the POE. How do you know they will grant a ten year viss especially if the two week lie is told? Stay away from his kids and business for 6 months?

The whole application will draw suspicion.

That is the visa the Bucharest embassy issue

What do you mean " the lie you suggest will result in denial" - explain. It makes no sense

You are correct when you say the term of the stay is set at the POE so for this gentleman if he is issued a visa and is granted entry his I-94 will be valid for 6 months based on his nationality regardless if he intends to stay in the US for a day or a week or in his case three months

Not all B2's are 10 year multi entry.

Spend less time giving bad advice and spend more time educating yourself about US immigration.

Notice that all of us who disagree with you each have years of experience dealing with immigration issues.

You've just applied in 2013 for an immigration benefit. You are no where close to knowing the subtle quirks of US immigration.

A 10 years multi visit visa is never a sure thing. Have you heard of a single use visitor visa?

Do you know that the CBP officer has complete discretion on how long a visitor can stay? Do you know that the I-94 can be limited to as little as 2 weeks? It's not always 6 months.

Seriously, stop giving such bad advice when you are only beginning to learn about US immigration. Just because you applied for an immigration benefit in 2013, it doesn't grant you complete knowledge about everything about US immigration laws.

Aaron dear you are unbelievably nasty and agressive. I am not sn expert in US immigration and will never be. However I am very familiar with the particular embassy that Yanka asked about. And I can promise you that if he is granted a visa it will most likely be a 10 year multiple entry one. When it comes to POE Romanian citizens are usually given a default 6 months I -94 . In the end Yanka was only asking advice to how to apply for a visa none of us experts or not can tell what will happen at POE and she doesn't need to worry about that just yet.

This site is here to help the one's who need answers and those answers are provided by other members of the forum. It is not for you to decide Aaron ( is the second A for angry by the way ?) what advice is bad or good.

This lie. Why doesnt he just tell the truth in everything he attempts? Why would you suggest anthing less than the truth to another member or be angry with those that advise against lying in general. White lies?

"PS Have him say he will be there only for 2 weeks ( He doesn't want to stay away from the kids or the business too long etc ) 3 months will raise suspicion".

The length of stay is determined by nationality? He gets automatic 6 months because of where he's from?

Guess the "I" in your name is for ignorant. Grow up. Start providing real answers instead of resorting to name calling.

Bad advice is telling people to lie. Good advice is telling people to tell the truth.
