Hi All,

Does anyone know if there is a way to check the status of your case online after you receive NOa2? We are waiting for packet 3 and would like to see where it is, if it has left NVC, has been recieved by consolate etc...

Thanks

No, after NOA2 there is no more online status checking. You have to phone the NVC or the DOS to find out information on your packet and its location/status.

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

Ah OK, Could you tell me what DOS is? My fiancee and I are both in Australia at present so it is a bit difficult to call the US. Do you think it is worth trying to call or email the consulate here in Sydney?

Thanks a lot for your time.

DOS is department of state.

Calling or emailing the consul in Sydney, you would have to check on their website as to their requirements. BUT they won't know anything about the case until they have it and you have to get the case number from nvc or dos first. So either way you have to call nvc or dos for info on the case status.

Yes you can, I just checked mine at ceac.state.gov you use the case number that was given to you in the paper copy of noa2.

We are waiting on packet 4 :)

Thanks so much, I tried to look at mine online but it kept saying that it was an invalid applicant ID. I used the one on my NOA2 and my original case number. Do you know if it can only be based after you receive packet 3?

Thanks so much for your help.

You can check your status online on this site with the visa application number, which is the number the NVC gives you (the one which starts with the letters of the consulate). So either you call the NVC and they can give you the number, or I think the NVC send a paper with the number on it too (I just called to get the number and I am the foreign fiancée, so wether the NVC sent a paper or not I didn't recieve it...)

Anyway, you get more info by calling DOS than by checking the case status online...

Good luck in your visa journey!
