Apply for citizenship while stationed in Germany?

Hello!!

I was wondering if its possible to apply for citizenship from Germany? My husband is in the air force and we are going to be in Germany until 2015, I filed removal of conditions from here and had no problems.

I'd appreciate the help!

Yes you can file from germany as long as you have been a permenant resident for at least 3 years.

Really? Based on Nick and Emma's recent example http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?id=140907 I was under the impression you could do an expedited Naturalization based on an overseas pcs.

Check out their timeline. Maybe I'm missing something, but they were married in Sept 12, visa in Dec 12, greencard Jan 13, filed for Citizenship in Feb 13, (Filed under s 319(b) - military spouse w/husband pcsing overseas for 3 years. Same day oath (office doesn't normally do this, but this was an exceptional circumstance)...and had the interview and oath ceremony in March 13.. that's 6 months total from their marriage and their 1-130 sent to citizenship based on Military expedites and an overseas pcs.

Sorry I know this is a late reply…by months, but if you want to do the whole process overseas you have to be married for 3 years…you can do it before that, but would have to take the oath in the US. If you have orders in enough time before leaving, you can apply and get it done possibly, but normally you don't get hard copy orders until a couple of months out.

Just an update: We followed the guidelines from the link I posted, and we were able to file N400 expedited and skipping the Removal of Conditions process. Granted we were in the States and used the fact that we WERE heading overseas to qualify for the 319b. This is different from the OP as she was asking if they could do this whole process overseas (I cannot speak to that) BUT we got orders in DEC/JAN for a JUNE/July arrival and that was plenty of time to seek the 319b. We have already done the Biometics as well via walk-in. We are fully expecting to have her US Passport before we leave for Germany.
