Hi....sorry if my inquiry may be kinda silly...

So i called the embassy after paying the visa fee and apparently you only have 2 choices press 1 if you already filled in ds 160 online and pres 2 if you havent and upon pressing 2 it will tell you to go to the website to get the info...call ends...

Questions...

(1)I guess this means...instead of the DS 160 i have to fill in and apply online using DS 156??

(2)Also...in the visajourney sample there's a barcode in the ds156 sample...where will that be obtained? is that generated after you complete the form?....

(3) only the ds 160 has fill in instructions...it specifically said to never forget to sign the document online..or else application will be terminated...but online ds156 has no 'sign here' button...

(4) and...i guess the visa photo will not be uploaded in this case but brought in the interview?...

(5) ive been denied b1/b2 tourist visa aug 2009 but i cant remember the exact date...must i really fill in the form with the exact date?....

Please help...sorry for the array of questions...

thank you so much...

we are now expecting our first baby! :goofy: (L) :dancing: (F) :star:  :jest:

Here is the website you can use to schedule the visa interview: http://www.ustraveldocs.com/ph/ph-steps.asp

I used the site and found it easy to navigate. I can't be very helpful with the phone line though. However, DS-160 is not required for Filipino K-1 applicants as far as I know. The link to the instructions for Filipino applicants is in my signature.

1) and 2) You fill in the DS-156 online, yes, and it generates a bar code after you complete and click the button. However, you will print out the completed form with bar code. You are not sending it anywhere. You must print it out along with the other forms and bring with you to the interview.

3) You will sign DS-156 after you print it out.

4) Visa photos will be brought, yes.

5) Not sure about this one because for some questions such as those in regard to employment or school, dates can be approximate times with months and years being sufficient enough. With a visa denial, I would imagine there being more strictness on the exact dates, but I couldn't say with certainty.
