hello everyone :) after 3weeks being in the "administrative process".. i already receive my visa packet today..

but i have a question.. im worried about what i had read here on VJ about the visa packet that must not be open or else i'll be in trouble..

is it normal that my visa packet (the yellow envelope) has a diagonal cut on its corner?

hope to hear from you guys.. thank you!

it is normal, this cut.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Yes your passport is inside the plastic pouch, just remove your passport and leave the envelope inside the plastic bag will help to protect it until POE.

Cut corner is normal

what is the purpose of this Diagonal cut other than to scare the living daylights out of anyone who receives a VISA Packet knowing that it's NOT supposed to be opened.. sometimes I feel the U.S. government does this stuff just to be annoying, this whole process is annoying and ridiculous in my opinion. We have 12 million illegals here and it takes 6 months of red tape, stress and hoops to get your fiancee here. It should take 1 month max.

Ours is not to question "why", ours is to not tear it open and make sure to deliver to the POE.

If it is only taking you 6 months to get your fiancee here you are getting done very quickly.

I would say we have over 20 million illegals here. :)
