Hey guys,

I can't find a photocopy of an AR-11 for my husband I thought I had submitted.. I know they won't tell me what his current address is over the phone.

My problem is is that I had listed my parent's address throughout our initial immigration process. They still live there.. but I've always been at a different location (I moved to my current place from my parents like a month before he arrived). I just wasn't sure if I'd be there long so I used my parents' address. When hubby moved here I THOUGHT I had submitted an AR-11.. I'm going to dig around and ask my bank if they could give me transaction history of USPS stuff so I can see when I mailed it.

If I resubmit these documents (the AR-11 and I-865 since I forgot myself).. what should I put down as the move date? I'm pretty sure I remember submitting his AR-11.. but I just don't want him to get in trouble and be deported when we do the ROC. He hasn't been in any criminal trouble - we both work for a police department for crying out loud! I was looking at the ROC paperwork and noticed the address change section and how they want timeframes of when you were living there. I don't want to cause any problems - my parents still live there, and it's like 5 miles away!

I'm scared! HELP!

Distance between two hearts is not an obstacle; rather a great reminder of just how strong true love can be.

The main purpose of fileing AR11 and I-865 is to enable USCIS to be able to contact you. Since you submitted AR-11 and I-865 and don't the address on those, the issue is that the USCIS communication may go that addressand not to your parents address. There is a chance that USCIS might not have acted on those forms but it is a risk.

The strategy depends on whether you know all the addresses you lived with details of moving in and out of those addresses! So do you know those details.

I had never done the I-865, I wasn't aware of its existence until just now! Should I submit that along with resubmitting hubby's information?

I'm just not sure what dates to put - if I put it way beyond the 10/30 day limit.. will they uscis hold this against me?

We're not eligible for removal of conditions for another 8 months, but when they talk about it being a misdemeanor to not file within the time limit scares me!

Yes, go ahead and file AR-11 and I-865 now, that way you fulfill your obligations. Please give the correct dates and I don't think USCIS is going to hold you responsible for not filing the previous ones - at least you are working towards making this right.

Don't get scared, just file now and you should be fine.
