Everybody can be hypocrits ehh....My friend is immigration already , he got involved with an undocumented , he went in and reported he wanted to marry this

person because there a rules for disclosures in the job, every individual knows a not so straight person ( and may choose not to fraternize with them) but lets

not make like all of us, friends , family and associates are saints, ppl fall in love with the not so squeaky clean at times, OP Y u not married to the person?

Y should OP not apply for this job, especially if the intention of the undocumented is to become legal and have not committed crimes here?

Please note OP my friend says extensive checks are done even the neighbors R checked, so be nice to the neighbors I say go for it and be honest & upfont

Hey. Including me!

I said he would get bonus points.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

A previous co-worker just started a job with USCIS in the mail room through a contracting company. The FBI came to our business to question about her background . The FBI will show up to your neighbors , previous work, they will find out. The background check will involve an FBI agent and they will question the people in your life, including your husband.

I believe the OP stated they are "married to an undocumented spouse". Responding to your question above "OP Y u not married to the person?"

Doesn't this prove you aren't very good at homeland security as you couldn't even find the illegal in your own house?

Seriously though, bad idea to apply.

Seriously? Your advice is to pursue a Federal job which is intended to protect our "homeland" and the OP is married or living with an undocumented foreigner and your advice is to go for it but be nice to the neighbors? Please! Let's be responsible in giving advice here. This entire website is intended to help people on their "Visa Journey".

Are you serious?

Why not apply for a federal SECURITY job when the OP is breaking federal laws by harboring an illegal alien? The same laws that the OP would be required to enforce is she gets the job?

Seriously. Think about how your answer is completely wrong.

Next you'll probably suggest a bank robber apply for a job as a security guard for a bank.

I can ubderstand the individual wanting to & applying for this job

it does not make him less a person, this site is for the benefit of

who wants to ask & answer questions without being berated, now, the

poster only wanted opinions & got what each persons opinion is, so

theres no need to get irie at others. All who comes here is looking

to get someone or themself inside the US, or got someone in, no need

for judgementals. the poster needs to get the anwers from HS office

upon application as obviously his wife is currently being processed.

If neither of them are criminals and can withstand background checks

and the partner status is known, they would be ok.

Why would want a job that requires you to enforce laws you not follow? You have to an oath that is instantly violated the day you start work. You will get a thorough background check more intensive than the people trying to get a visa. You already can't be trusted by presently ignoringthe law. You really planned to work in the place that enforces the law? You can't apply for any federal employment.
