based on his other posts he seems to have filed a waiver with his initial petition in June 2012 and has not heard anything since but standard letters of wait while we process. No biometrics, no RFEs for additional evidence.

Capri, thank you for your latest response. All your assumption here is correct.

Should I contact this first?

I just want to know what's going on with the file, what actions is undergoing, instead of just "additional review" which means nothing to me.

You can contact as many people as you want for assistance. You have 2 senators and one rep available to you. Like I said, the rep will be the friendliest because the rep has a small district. The senator represents the entire state, so theres a lot of people coming to them for help. Your rep is going to have an office thats local. Your senators office may be far from you.

You can also contact the Ombudsman, but read the page carefully. You'll see they have similar procedures that I described the phone center implements. They dont 'ping' unless youre outside normal processing times. You have to refer to the page - https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processTimesDisplayInit.do check the service center that has your case and see if youre outside of normal times. Then and only then they will intervene.

If you dont know where your case is you can check your case status online at - https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/Dashboard.do

Or call the general number and ask or refer to your notices. It should say where its being processed.

So VSC is processing 129F for July 2 2012. If you are earlier then that and you are at VSC then you are outside of the normal time and the Ombudsman can help. If youre not, then they wont.

Most people use every available resource. That includes Reps, Senators, Phone center service requests and the Ombudsman. You do what your comfortable with. You can do more then one at a time.
