Traveling through China question

Next time try looking at the same flight on the Delta website.. Usually it's lower.. Orbitz has to make money too.

I tried Delta first, Orbitz second but they kept what I call baiting me. Showing me one price and then increasing it $350. I am a Delta person as I flew them a lot on business. Orbitz was good to except this time. No matter what itinerary I tried to book they changed it on me. I don't know if it was a glitch of the day or normal now. They are still showing 1 ticket at the price I tried through Japan. Makes one wonder.

Okay one of my friends said he was told when he left the USA he needed a Visa ransfering through to Philippines. I wonder if he had his on two different itineraries now that I read more about it. I do not believe anyone else needed a Visa to transfer in China. I can see now it makes sense if it is under two different itineraries. Just a bit nervous. Note to others. If you have paid almost 3k for the entire process, don't sweat a few extra benjamins for an easier transfer for piece of mind .................................

Luggage gets transfered automatically, to final destination.

If it is a connecting flight that is booked, then yes.

I will be going to the Philippines again to get my wife, and her belongings.

Been there for 2 wks in Sept ( 15 days), and again Dec 21-Jan10 (3 weeks), and am patiently waiting to go again.

I love the Philippines. But I am so tired of flying I will wait here patiently.. I hope you signed of for FF miles lol.... Good luck with the remainder of your journey

I personally avoid Philippines Air like the plague. It always seems to be the most disorganized airline, even in Manila it is a little nuts. I really liked flying Southern China, I think they might have been bought or merged but last time it was really cheap and the plane was awesome! Very large and lots of features on the TV at each chair. Food is hit or miss as with any airline.

HKG sucks!!!!!!
I know it's a matter of opinion but "Sucks" in what way to you?

HKIA is one of the most efficient airport in the world; I have flown through/too there numerous times - The longest time I spent from deplaning to getting to my departure gate is about 20-25 minutes (and that includes going to the CR). I just recently went through - I had enough transit time so I left the airport and went into the city.

Changi and ICN are also great airport to travel to / transit through.
