I have read that it is wise to have in your possession at the time of interview orignal copies of anything submitted for the K-1 visa or i-129f petition. By this point I've submitted so many things that remembering what's an orignal and what was submitted as a copy makes my head hurt. So, based on prior cases, what sort of orignals are they talking about? Is there something in particular that they want to see the original version?

Trying to make ourselves as prepared as possible!

Boarding passes, letters (and enveloppes), your passport of course (if you are the benificiary, they can look at stamps if the like), I have my USC fiancé original birth certificate too (just in case, I never read anyone ever got asked to show this at the interview).

But there can be more, it depends of what you sent. For exemple, I also have the original paper that was given to me by the university to get my J-1 visa when I was an exchange student. Just take your copy of the I-129F you sent out. Check everything. For forms, emails, everything that have been directly printed from a computer, you don't need originals of course, for all the rest, bring originals. And bring the copy of the I-129F itself too. Just in case.

Good luck in your visa journey!

From the day we sent I-129F to the day I recieved my K-1: Exactly 9 months
I am the benifeciary
