Okay, and? Christians have done this as well and I believe it says in the Torah "Do not suffer a witch to live."

I'm glad that oppression has stopped, sorcery and divination has historically been women's strong are in the field of spirituality and one that granted them some societal power. You'll notice that any religion that has historically found it wise to go around burning and prosecuting "witches" is also very fond of mostly men in religious roles.
