Vaseline is better than liquidy lubricants on squeaky door hinges

Candle wax, or bar soap are even better, and won't attract dust. Need a fine lubricant in a pinch? Wipe your finger along the edge of your nose, or the outside of your ear.

Pencil erasers are great for cleaning corroded edge connectors and other electrical contacts, like headphone jacks.

WD -40 for anything that is supposed to move and isn't

Kroil is way better. You should give it a try.

If you don't want to use bleach in the laundry, as it is hard on clothing, baking soda works well and is color safe.

Rubbing alcohol is a great freeze inhibitor

Eating a small amount of crushed up charcoal from burnt wood will help reduce stomach issues and diarrhea in a pinch.

For sore throats that won't go away, gargle with warm salt water several times daily.

I've done this is the past, but this time I think it is a constantly dripping nose... I must find if they have OTC Zyrtec here.

The wife doesn't mind letting me sooth a sore throat with her special secretions.

If you have braces and get an adjustment, which is always painful, the new wires are activated by the warmth of your mouth. Drink cool water and it will relieve some of the tension from the wire for a bit.
