It's about being a Gay person.

What are the rulings in your beliefs on them ?

There is nothing wrong with being a happy person.

That's all I can say about this as I don't understand anything else you are trying to say.

i am going to go out on a limb and venture that i know much more about the the christian faith than most non-believers and even some believers. i have read the entirety of the the bible, more than once. i wasted the majority of my childhood and teen years in bible drills, church camps, not to mention every single sunday, wednesday nights and countless extra saturday sessions. i have been baptised. i have been you, with the weight of all my unsaved friends and family on my shoulders.

of course atheists experience fears and anxiety. the difference between atheists and believers is atheists aren't required to pretend like faith is enough to sustain a meaningful existence. i don't have the threat of eternal suffering over my head or the fairy tale of heaven when i question believers or screw up or contribute something of value to the world. i am a good person without such fear. i make mistakes without losing the essence of goodness that makes me human. i don't need threats or promises to live properly. neither do you.

god is not my enemy because god does not exist. hell does not exist. all of your points are void.

YOur post should make a lot of sense to the non-Christian, and I don't mean to doubt your honesty but a few things just did not sound genuine.

- One of the unique tenets of the Christian faith is- people do not get "salvation" from being good or from "works" which is why Christians do not walk around fearing hell-fire. Their salvation comes from the the payment of sin by the Suffering of Christ. Yet you like many Atheists claim believers have this ongoing fear... which clearly is not consistent with even basic Christian teaching.

-No one with such a Christian background would refer bringing unbelievers to Christ as "Saving their friends" this is huge! How could you possibly get this wrong, it is like taboo to even say such a thing. No person can "save" another and that herbage would never be used. Typically the term might be "lead someone to the lord".

Perhaps your experience was as a very young child and it has been so long that the fundamental concepts are a little fuzzy.

It kind of reminds me of people who try to B.S. that they were in the Marines, and the more they talk the more you hear those key words are wrong and you know the guy is making it up.

I'm not saying you are making stuff up but the more detailed you go the more your experience was not from a typical Church. (were you in some cult?)

you are doubting my honesty and that's fine, i have no problem correcting you.

my experience in the southern baptist church began at seven and ended at sixteen - when i shaved my head so my parents would be embarrassed to take me to church (it worked).

i know 'how' salvation occurs. i never said people get saved by good works or are good because they fear hell.

christians help 'save' by sharing the story of jesus and showing the path to salvation. you are aware of missionaries? ever handed out a bible tract? i wasn't implying that i was personally saving them, acting as the savior.

brilliant claiming you're not accusing me of lying and reminiscing

Baptists are annoying. The wife has a workmate that invited her to a mother's day celebration. She went, and it turned out to be a Baptist thing. She told them she was a happy Catholic, and she wasn't interested in changing faiths. They continued to send her stuff, and even the minister showed up one time looking for her. And then there were the Jehovah's witnesses, that kept visiting the wife, and wouldn't stop. I finally intervened, and ran them off. Next time, they showed up with a little muscle. I threatened to call the Sheriff, or worse, if they ever showed up again.

The Mormons are so sweet. Usually a couple of well dressed freshly scrubbed young men show up. After a few minutes discussing religion with them, they generally make an excuse to leave on their own, never to return. I love corrupting virgins.

I likes what Iran does to them. - Declares them to have a mental disease - the fix is gender-reassignment surgery.

The State pays for it - it's sweet !

Now, I only know of this going from male to female. I've no clue what goes on when it's female to male.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

i didn't pick baptist, i had no choice in the matter :) kids are stuck with what they're raised in. being catholic seemed more free to me, as a kid - because they could smoke and drink. why i envied that at eight and nine years old, i'm not sure.

I love corrupting virgins.

it's good to have hobbies.
