I want to go through the Work and Travel program and have already found a job through the American Hospitality Academy who will keep an eye out for us while we're working in the US, when I say keep an eye out I mean they call once a month to check on us, if we don't reply our visas will be terminated. But I'm still a little worried about the embassy and my pending I-130 petition, I'm questioning my chances of being approved for a J-1 visa. I'm a full time student (required to be eligible for the Work and Travel program), and I have no intent whats so ever to stay in the US. But how exactly can I prove this to the person that will be interviewing me at the embassy? Being that my petition will definitely raise an eyebrow, it was filled and accepted about 8 months ago and I'm still waiting for it to be reviewed. On top of that my father (who filed the petition) and my brother who is an U.S citizen are both living in the U.S, I will naturally have to mention this information at the embassy which I'm sure will just add on to the suspicion. In addition to that, I was a green card holder myself, my green card expired in 2011. I filed my petition after turning 21, being that I still want to live and study, and work in the future in Europe, so I have no intent to immigrate to the US again, yet. I'm perfectly ok with waiting for a couple more years to get my green card.

I doubt though that my honest words will be the basis of his/her decision. I will of course have all of my student information available showing that I enrolled in an 2 year Masters program, and am an active student, intending on coming back and finishing my studies like planned. But is there anything besides this I could add on to show my strong intent of coming back? I'm only 22 so I have no property in my name, and I rent an apartment that's under a 1 year contract (expires in the fall of 2013). Would putting a large sum of money in my bank account be of any help? I'm really lost as to what more I could do to prove to them that I will not overstay my visa?

Any suggestions will be more than appreciated! Thanks in advance!
