Welcome to the forum.

The checklist provided by USCIS on the AOS interview appointment letter seemed pretty self-explanatory, especially the fourth item on the list:

"All documentation establishing your eligibility for Lawful Permanent Resident status."

As a consequence, we brought every shred of paper/evidence that we had accumulated/received in connection with our immigration journey.

Good luck on your immigration journey.

This is the part where it's up to you to prove that your relationship is bona fide. Like the poster above said, bring ever shred of paper evidence you have to prove this.

As an example, I brought 12 months of our joint bank account statements, any bills that had both of our names attached, our rental lease agreement, copy of our health insurance, I brought extra photos of us together.

I had an attorney, we put together a very large packet with copies of every bit of paper work we had received from USCIS along the way, copies of all correspondence and paperwork we had submitted, along with all identification requested, plus marriage certificates etc. Follow the instructions closely for the required paperwork.

If you submit photos, do not expect to receive these back.

Good luck!

Bring originals and a copy of the important documents you sent in, like the marriage certificate, birth certificates, divorce decrees, etc. Pictures during your marriage from the wedding to present. Taken any trips together? Bring proof of that. Anything you can pull together to show co-mingling and living together. Mail addressed to the both of you, any accounts in both your names, etc. Does he list you as his spouse and emergency contact at work? Print that out to show. When you are just married and do not have a lot of co-mingling evidence to show, sometimes you have to think hard and be creative. Just gather what you can. They tend to understand newly married couples have not had enough time to establish too many joint accounts so far.

Take whatever you can find that is listed on the USCIS notice checklist. But don't give them everything unless they ask for it. I had my interview already and I had this officer who only asked for originals that had been submitted with the application such as birth certificates, IDs, and SS# (no worries if you don't have one yet, just tell him/her that). Then he just asked to see updated bank statements (copies of electronic statements). Nothing more. I was shocked because I had prepared with labeled folders and copies, but there was no need. It mostly depends on the official. But make sure you take most of it just in case they need a copy.
