How long does it take to process AOS package?

Hi everybody,

I sent the AOS package last Friday and according to the USPS tracking system the parcel was delivered this Monday (ie two days ago). I just called the NVC and I was told that they haven't received it yet. Should I be worried? And how long does it take to go through the package once they receive it?

You should wait up to 10 days to get an acknowledgement copy. No need to get worried now.

dont worry...usually the noa1 takes 10 to 21 days...takes longer than the k1 noa1.

Thanks for your answer. I'm just getting a bit impatient given that we spent more than 7 months for our NOA2 at the VSC!

Do you know by any chance whether the AOS package needs to get approved before we are asked to pay and submit the IV package? We filed the DS-260 online last Thursday, but haven't heard anything back, yet.

Thanks for your reply, but we're past the NOA stage. We got our NOA2 approval a month ago, my question related to the AOS package you sent once your papers are at the National Visa Center

dont worry...usually the noa1 takes 10 to 21 days...takes longer than the k1 noa1.

I know you are at the AoS stage, I just wanted to make a comparison between the noa 1 from k1 and the noa 1 from AoS. In the k1 process the noa takes no more than week but the noa 1 from AoS takes 2 -3 weeks

The delivered AOS package in NVC is not automatically entered into the system. It stays in the mail room for a while. Wait for a few days & call again by then. In my case, it took 7 business days when I got invoiced for IV Bill.
